A big congratulations to an important member of the Texarkana community. The Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the retirement of President and DEO of the Chamber, Michael Malone. Malone has been with the Chamber since 2016.

Melone has led the Texarkana Chamber in many ways over the years from economic development to government relations to the success of our chamber. He did such a great job leading the Chamber a couple of years ago that it was recognized as the 2020 Leadership Texarkana Organization of the Year.

Malone has been involved in other organizations as well including being on the board of directors for the Caddo Area Council of Boy Scouts and also served as president of the Texarkana Wilbur Smith Rotary Club, Director on the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives board.

Malone is retiring with over 37 years in the chamber industry. He's worked as chief executive officer of chambers across the U.S. from Virginia to Florida to Illinois to West Virginia. On top of that, he has the title of Certified Chamber Executive in the United States. Needless to say, we were very fortunate to have him in Texarkana.
