Texarkana Chamber of Commerce Announces New President + CEO

The Texarkana USA Chamber of Commerce has announced that Dr. Robin Hickerson will be the new President and CEO of the chamber effective on September 3, 2024.

According to a press release, Dr. Hickerson is a lifelong resident of Texarkana and not only brings extensive experience as an educational administrator, fundraiser, and community volunteer, but Dr. Hickerson has a true love for this community and a passion to see it grow and flourish. She will become the first female president and CEO of the Texarkana USA Chamber. Dr. Hickerson comes with longstanding relationships with many who serve on the Chamber Board which will enable her to hit the ground running.

On behalf of the entire Board of the Texarkana Chamber, we would like to acknowledge and thank Denis Washington for coming out of retirement to serve as our president. Denis has done an admirable job, and we certainly owe him a debt of gratitude. He will help transition Dr. Hickerson and again, we are thankful for his commitment to our Chamber and our community.

Her comments of being raised by parents who instilled a love for community coupled with strong values certainly make her the perfect fit for our hometown Chamber. Again, we are excited to have Dr. Hickerson as the next President and CEO who will work closely with our dedicated Board and staff members to evolve our Chamber into a forward-thinking organization that brings value to our members and works closely with ARTEX REDI in economic development efforts.
