Miller County Church Burglary Solved
The Miller County Sheriff's Office believes they have solved a church burglary and theft of property dating back to 2016 with the arrest of a local man.
Authorities have arrested 21 year old Dakota Young of Texarkana, Arkansas on charges of Burglary, Theft of Property and Criminal Mischief in reference to a 2016 burglary at a church in Miller County.
On April 22, 2016, Miller County deputies responded to the First Assembly of God Church located in Fouke regarding a reported burglary. Reports reflect that a door was forced open to gain access to the building, and once inside, suspects removed a safe. The safe was subsequently recovered in Little River County.
Following recent forensic testing of evidence recovered at the scene by the Arkansas State Crime Lab, Investigator McJunkins obtained an arrest warrant on Young and arrested him this morning.
Young is currently being held in the Miller County Detention Center awaiting arraignment on the charges, and the investigation into the 2016 burglary continues.
