Texarkana Narcotics Task Force Scores A Big Drug Bust This Week
Texarkana Arkansas Police and Miller County Sheriff's Office joint Bi-State Narcotics Task Force arrested one person in Texarkana on Wednesday for illicit drugs and weapons charges. More arrests are expected.
TTPD is reporting that this past Wednesday, June 14, Investigators with the Bi-State Narcotics Task Force, Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department and Miller County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics search warrant at the Super 8 Motel, located at 325 E. 51st Street in Texarkana, Arkansas. The search warrant was a direct result of an investigation involving the distribution of illicit narcotics.
During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located over 7 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, 76.6 grams of suspected cocaine, 71.2 grams of suspected Fentanyl, 8.3 grams of Alprazolam/Clonazepam, 1 LSD tab, and two firearms, one of which was stolen.
Arrested at the scene was Valari Owen, she was then transported to the Miller County Jail where she was booked for:
- Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms
- Theft by Receiving Firearm
- Trafficking Controlled Substance Schedule II Methamphetamine over 200 grams
- Trafficking Controlled Substance Schedule I Fentanyl over 1 gram
- Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule II with Intent to Deliver Cocaine over 10 grams under 200 grams
- Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule IV with Intent to Deliver under 28 grams
- Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule IV with Intent to Deliver under 28 grams
- Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I with Intent to Deliver under 2 grams
- Maintaining a Drug Premises
The total street value according to DEA standards is estimated at $370,000. Additional arrests are anticipated in this investigation.
