Miller County Sheriffs Deputies have arrested two Texarkana residents after allegedly finding drugs in their vehicle.

Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle driving recklessly on Highway 71 South in southern Miller County.  Deputy Byron Bryant subsequently located the vehicle pulled off the side of the highway. Bryant approached and identified the occupants of the vehicle as 24 year old Dalton Radney, of Texarkana, Texas and 25 year old Candice McElhiney, also of Texarkana, Texas.

Authorities say Radney was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana, and a subsequent search of the motor vehicle revealed two large glass jars with suspected Marijuana weighing approximately 4 pounds.

Authorities say they also located suspected Clonazepam pills and suspected Methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Both subjects were arrested on charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Miller County Detention Center.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
