Mock Evacuation Drill Happening at Texas High

Texas High School in Texarkana is conducting a Mock Evacuation Drill.The drill is going on today (Wednesday April 16) and started at 1:30 p.m. The exercise includes a coordinated response by the Texarkana  I.S.D. Police Department, Risk Management Department and Texas High School staff and students.

Students and staff will evacuate to the Texas Middle School and a portion of Kennedy Lane will be blocked off while the drill is being conducted.

Students should return to the high school by no later than 3:00 p.m. and after school pick-up and transportation will not be affected.

The school district says the drill is an effort to continue promoting security and safety within the Texarkana Texas Independent School District.
