Most Underrated State Park in Arkansas Has Scenic Stunning Views

There are approximately 52 state parks in Arkansas and each one of them offers something different to explore but I think Pinnacle Mountain State Park west of Little Rock is probably one of the most underrated parks when it comes to the great outdoors.

You can't help but notice the cone-shaped mountain in the distance when crossing over the Arkansas River bridge. It resembles a volcano-type mountain but history tells us it is not volcanic at all, rising more than 1,011 feet above the Arkansas River Valley.

Hikers come from all over to hike to the top of this picturesque mountain with 360-degree stunning views of the beautiful scenery below.

With more than 40 miles of hiking trails Pinnacle Mountain State Park and two challenging mountain bike trails, this makes for the perfect destination.

Families will love the surrounding picnic tables and playground at the base of the mountain and make sure you visit the Arkansas Arboretum to learn about some of the wildlife and critters that roam this land that is certified as a Trails of Tears National Historic Site, find out more here.

This park is only open during the day but there are a variety of outdoor activities available on the Big and Little Maumelle Rivers nearby. The only drawback is there is no camping allowed at this park however, depending on the season kayaks and canoes are available to rent.

I'm sure most of you have heard about Mount Magazine,  Petit Jean Mountain, and Mount Nebo,  which seems to overshadow this particular park which is the reason I wanted to let you know about this beautiful state park located in Central Arkansas.
