June is finally here and you know what that means it's time for "Movies in the Park" at Spring Lake Park, presented by the Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department.

Because of the coronavirus Movies in the Park is getting a late start this month with the first movie scheduled for Thursday, June 18. All movies will begin between 7-8PM or right around dusk and will be shown in the field across from the old airplane every Thursday.

The Disney Classic The Lion King is slated for June 18.

The Disney Classic Frozen II is slated for June 25.

All movies are free and the Texarkana Parks Department encourages everyone to practice social distancing for a family-friendly atmosphere. No alcohol or smoking allowed on the park grounds.

Bring a blanket or folding chair to sit on and yes, you are allowed to bring food, snacks, and soft drinks. Concession stands will also be available if needed.

For more information about Movies in the Park, please call the Parks and Recreation office at 903-798-3900 or visit their Facebook page.
