
Movies on the River in Camden, Arkansas June 1-Aug. 17
The City of Camden is bringing a bit of Hollywood magic back to South Arkansas with the return of Movies on the River, the award-winning, outdoor movie series at the Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater.
This year, families will have even more time to grab their blankets, lawn chairs and coolers and enjoy the latest blockbuster releases on a double-sided giant screen with Theater Style Sound, all while taking in the splendor of the Ouachita River underneath a canopy of twinkling stars.
The 2018 season of Movies on the River has been extended until late fall, with an amended schedule that accommodates youth athletic activities. Summer, movies will start at dusk, about 8:15PM every Friday from June 1 until August 17. Movies will be shown outdoors at the Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater on a giant movie screen,The Riverwalk Amphitheater is located in the Riverwalk area at 405 Washington St. SE. in Downtown Camden.
Admission is free. Moviegoers may bring water, soda and other treats. Vendors will also be onsite selling a variety of snacks.
Movies on the River won the bronze award during the 2017 ALFiE Awards, which were presented in February by the Arkansas Festivals and Events Association.
