Mystic Creek Golf Club Opens New Clubhouse in El Dorado
Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas recently celebrated the opening of its new 9,000 square-foot clubhouse. Cleveland, Ohio-based DLR GROUP was the design firm used for the project, while Clark Construction Group of Little Rock was the contractor.
According to a press release, the new clubhouse includes Mystic Grill, a golf shop with the latest golf equipment and apparel, and men's and women's locker rooms. Open to golfers and non-golfers alike Tuesday through Sunday, Mystic Grill features a full-service bar with panoramic views of the golf course through floor-to-ceiling windows, plus an outdoor patio that overlooks the 18th green. Chef Socorro Gill's menu features contemporary American cuisine and southern classics, with plenty of inspiration from her Hispanic heritage influencing flavors and menu style. Chef Socorro and her culinary team take pride in creating scratch-made dishes, sourced locally when possible from the El Dorado Farmer's Market during the season.
Set amid tall cathedral pines, the clubhouse features an all-exposed timber structural system with columns that support both the main dining area in The Grill and the upper terrace. The clubhouse’s exterior employs other organic materials, including red cedar siding, glass, and weathered zinc. The natural elements flow into the interior with exposed beams and a wood roof deck. According to DLR Group, the organization of the building’s elements is inspired by the historical rural Arkansas architecture of E. Fay Jones.
