President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home in Hope, Ark., has been restored after being set fire by an arsonist last year and is set to reopen for tours this Saturday, July 30.

The Clinton Home has been closed for seven months because of arson. No one has yet been charged with the crime.

Early Christmas morning 2015, an arson-induced fire was struck against the base of the east elevation of the home, severely damaging the exterior of that elevation and one room on each of the first and second floors. Soot and smoke permeated the entire house, which soiled furnishings and objects. All repairs have been completed and the furnishings have been clean and placed back in the home.

The Clinton Birthplace home said it appreciates all of the support and assistance from the local community and National Park Service (NPS) employees. Employees have worked hard to repair the damages so it can re-open for tours.

No one has yet been charged for the arson. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the ATF Hotline at 1-888-ATF-FIRE (1-888-283-3473). Callers can remain anonymous.

The historic site will reopen Saturday, July 30, for tours from 9AM – 4:30PM. The home is located at 117 South Hervey Street in Hope, Ark. Admission is free. For more information on tours call (870) 777-4455.
