New Boston Police Release Clarrification On New Boston Walmart Parking Lot Incident
I have seen a couple of reports about an incident that apparently occurred on Wednesday, September 16, in the Walmart parking lot in New Boston, Texas. It reportedly involved a Texarkana Lawyer named Shorty Barrett who allegedly got into a physical confrontation with a 60-year-old New Boston man named Curtis Jackson.
Early on, it must have been reported as a vehicle/pedestrian incident in the parking lot.
That Original Report... Changed
According to a Thursday press release by the New Boston Police Department, the confrontation was caught on Walmart CCTV parking lot cameras and eyewitnesses. It appears that Mr Jackson was indeed not hit by Mr Barrett's vehicle, but rather that Mr Barrett hit his vehicle with Mr Jackson, knocking him unconscious. Then Barrett dragged him off to the side and drove away. Mr Jackson was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release, which you can read in full below.
