The Excitement Is Building, Along With Texarkana’s Newest Grocery Store

You asked for it Texarkana, for years we have been hearing you say we needed another grocery store chain to come into this market, well, get ready, because here it comes. 

Which One?

We're talking about a brand new location for Aldi Food Markets. This will be their first location for the Texarkana area but Aldi has stores all over the United States.

Texas alone has 126 stores with the closest being in Mt Pleasant, Arkansas has 12 with their latest opening back in August in Batesville. Louisiana has 11 and Oklahoma has 31 Aldi locations.

Did You Know...

Aldi stores do things a little differently than the local grocery shopping experiences we've grown up with and may take a little getting used to for most of us.

Lend Aldi a quarter and they will lend you a cart. Not to worry, you get the quarter back when you return the cart.

Bring your own bag and bag your own groceries. Of course, they do sell reusable bags or bring what ya got.

Aldi offers pick-up, curbside, and delivery options.

Like most grocery stores these days your best savings is in buying the store brands instead of name brands, and Aldi is no different. Look for;

Where?

The new Aldi will be taking over what's left of the old Albertson's space next to Conn's just off Richmond Rd at I-30.

When?

Good question, there is a lot of work to be done and it appears they are just getting started. It should take several months to do everything listed on the construction information. Our guess is early 2024... fingers crossed.
