NFL Star Wins ‘Dancing With The Stars’

In the season 12 finale of Dancing With the Stars, NFL football star Hines Ward.  Chelsea Kane took third place despite her technical prowess, and Kirstie Alley who I thought would take home the mirror ball trophy came in second.

Ward said, when it comes to convincing his fellow Pittsburgh Steelers teammates to participate on the show, Ward has reservations.

"It's grueling, it's grueling," he told PEOPLE about his experience on the series. "I disrespected the show when I first came on. I was like, 'I can do that.' But I've been doing it. There's a lot of hard work that goes into it."

This makes the second trophy win for Kym Johnson who had to fight through a neck injury she sustained last friday during practice.
