Pickle Power: Texarkana’s First-Ever Picklefest Draws Huge Crowd
The first-ever Picklefest in downtown Texarkana was a huge success. Organizers of this event must be pickled to death with an estimated crowd of over 15,000 that turned up for this one-day event.
You know you're at a good festival when you can't find a place to park. The hot weather on Saturday didn't keep pickle fans from coming. We've had plenty of festivals over the years, but this is by far the largest number of people gathered in downtown for an event.
Review: Picklefest 2025 in Downtown Texarkana
The moment you entered through the Front Street Festival Plaza, you were greeted by a Picklefest backdrop where people could stop and take a photo. The carnival-type atmosphere led to a variety of vendors selling everything from pickled hot sauce, pickled pizza, pickled cotton candy, fried pickle slices, and pickled lemonade, which was a huge hit for people trying to cool off.

There were pickle-related items, like t-shirts, merchandise, jewelry, sunglasses, and pickle ornaments.
"From the bottom of my heart, I will never stop being grateful. Pickle Fest worked because of the volunteers who carried it on their backs and believed in the vision," said Picklefest organizer MB Pickle."
One of the highlights of Picklefest was the Pickle Drinking Competition, where contestants who downed pickled juice the fastest were crowned the Pickle Juice Champion. Prince Productions caught all the excitement in the videos below.
Picklefest was even pet-friendly, with a pet costume contest that drew cheers from the crowd.
Picklefest: Bringing The Community Together
Picklefest not only brought the Texarkana community together, but also people from the four-state area, which is always good for tourism in our city. If this weekend's event is any indication, it was a huge hit, and it can only be bigger and better next year. The only thing that would have made it perfect is if the weather were slightly cooler.
Thank you to all who brought this exciting new event to Texarkana. Hopefully, Picklefest is here to stay!
