TLC Burgers and Fries has been a mainstay in the downtown Texarkana area since the early-'80s. So when news broke that there was a fire in the building back on June 19, You could hear our community make a collective gasp at the thought of something happening to that restaurant.

Fortunately, firefighters were able to put the fire out to save the building. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of smoke damage, but the good news is work at cleaning up and the renovation of the building is now underway.

When will it reopen?

The plan is for the business to reopen as early as November. Let's keep our fingers crossed they will be on schedule for a reopening and of course a big celebration downtown when they do reopen.

What's your favorite burger that you always ordered at TLC?

Does anyone remember what business occupied that building before TLC? At one time it was a pharmacy with a soda fountain.
