Riley Green and Maddie & Tae Coming to Arkansas State Fair
After taking last year off due to the coronavirus pandemic the 81st Annual Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock is back October 15-24.
Not only will you be able to enjoy all the great fair food and attractions but you will be entertained by a super lineup of concerts. From Country music to R&B to a variety of rock acts, the Arkansas State Fair promises to deliver its best musical lineup in years. For country music lovin' fans let's take a look at who's performing at this year's fair on the Vaccine Arkansas Main Stage.
October 15, 8 PM Maddie & Tae
Country music female duo Maddie & Tae broke onto the country music scene in 2013 with their smash hit, "Girl in a Country Song" that eventually went platinum. Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye who have been longtime friends became only the third female duo in 70 years to top the country charts and went on to receive a CMA Award, Radio Disney Award, and were nominated numerous times by the ACM, CMA, and CMT Awards. The singer-songwriters produced their biggest hit to date when they released "Die From a Broken Heart," which landed them at #1 on the country music charts.
October 18, 7 PM Zac Dunlap
Little Rock native Zac Dunlap was the 2018 Arkansas Entertainer of the Year and has opened for Brad Paisley, Granger Smith, and many other artists since 2014. Dunlap is a four-time Arkansas Country Music Award, Winner. The singer-songwriter also sings Christian music and is very proud to be from Arkansas as you can see in this video.
October 22, 8 PM Blackberry Smoke
Having just celebrated their 20th anniversary, this talented group of musicians from Georgia brings their roots to the forefront with their latest album, You Hear Georgia which includes 10 new songs. One of the coolest things this band did was when Dusty Hill from ZZ Top passed away they along with the Allman Betts Band performed "Jesus Just Left Chicago," as a tribute song to him.
October 23, 8 PM Riley Green
Alabama native Riley Green is about as country as country gets with his musical background of traditional country, bluegrass, and gospel upbringing, you can bet when Green performs he's singing from the heart. In 2018, he released the single "There Was This Girl," which became his debut #1 single from the EP In A Truck Right Now. One of my personal favorites from Riley Green was the hit, "I Wish Grandpas Never Died."
Riley Green has toured with Brad Paisley and Jon Pardi and his latest single is " If It Wasn't For Trucks."
