Roller Skating is Coming Back to Texarkana, Here’s What We Know

A new entertainment option for kids of all ages could be opening soon in Texarkana.

Skate America is preparing to open at 2729 New Boston Road, Suite 90, bringing a classic family-friendly activity back to the area. While details about an opening date have not yet been announced, plans submitted to the city of Texarkana, Texas give us a glimpse of what to expect.

What We Know About Skate America in Texarkana

According to information presented during the city approval process, Skate America plans to have a licensed security officer on site after 7 PM each evening. The proposal also includes a requirement that an adult sign in, in person, for anyone under the age of 18.

Proposed operating hours call for the facility to close at 8 PM on weeknights and 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The facility would be closed on Mondays.

Open Interviews to Hire Staff Are Scheduled

As preparations continue, Skate America is already building its team.

They have already started the process of hiring staff members. Additional details about the facility, attractions, and opening timeline are expected to be released in the coming weeks. You can keep up to date on their progress on their Facebook page.

I am so happy to see a skating rink again in the Texarkana area. I always hear there is nothing for kids and teens to do in this town. But there is!. We have Big Dam Waterpark and bowling and laser tag at Holiday Entertainment Center. This skating rink will bring another great option for fun and exercise for kids and adults alike.
