The second annual Clay's Golf and Guitars is Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Northridge Country Club.

A concert will follow the golf scramble later that evening with CMA Artist Winner and Texas Country Music Hall of Famer Sonny Burgess at 8PM.

If you love traditional country music then you're going to love Burgess. His discography of four releases has scored 11 top 10s in the Texas Country Music Charts and he has hosted the Nashville Fan Fair/CMA Music Festival and the International Music Awards. Burgess has played the Grand Ole Opry on several occasions and walked the Red Carpet at the American Country Music Awards. He's even played three times for former President George W. Bush during his campaign trail.

This native Texan has been influenced by the likes of George Strait, Hank Williams, Chet Atkins, Glen Campbell, and Roy Clark to name a few. It's pretty obvious that when you hear Burgess perform you know you're hearing a true traditionalist.

Clay Eichler Memorial Fund

This year, the board of the Clay Eichler Memorial Fund made the decision to provide seed money to establish the Ark-La-Tex 100 Club, Inc. that will benefit the Bowie and Miller County police and firefighters. The primary goal of the 100 Club is to raise funds for the dependents of first responders lost in the line of duty.

Any remaining funds will be used for additional safety training and for necessary life-saving equipment not covered in the budget.

For more information visit the Clay's Golf and Guitar's or call 903-277-0192 or 903-244-4787. Tickets to see Sonny Burgess are $50 and available here for purchase. The show starts at 8PM and the opening act will be local musician Taryn Ashley. Doors open at 6:30PM.

In addition, there will be a silent auction and Townsquare Media is proud to show our support by donating two tickets with meet & greet passes to see Sara Evans in Hope June 24, 2016 and two Six Flags tickets.
