If you love hot air balloons then you seriously need to check out this event coming in September. It's the 28th Annual Arkansas Hot Air Ballon Championship.

The fun all takes place in Harrison, Arkansas on Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 10.

There is no admission and the festival gets started on Friday at 4 PM at Anstaff Soccer Complex with the Boy Scouts Kids Zone, helicopter rides, and food and retail vendors. At 7 PM there is a free concert and a beautiful balloon glow.

Saturday gates open at 8 AM with food and retail vendors opening at 9 AM. Helicopter rides will be offered all day for a fee and the cornhole tournament starts at noon. The Boy Scouts Kids Zone with bounce houses will open at noon.

But the main attraction will be all the beautiful hot air balloons. Balloon races will take place on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. According to the website exploreharrison.com, the best time to see these balloon races is from 7 AM to 9 AM at the First Baptist Church parking lot located at 1400 S. Pine Street.

The balloon glows will start both Friday and Saturday night at 7 PM. Tethered rides will be available for purchase on Saturday night starting at 7 PM.
