You've heard the saying, "Give me your John Hancock," when signing something of importance. Well, American history tells of one of the most historical events of our time took place when a man named John Hancock a Patriot of the American Revolution signed the "Declaration of Independence" July 4, 1776 along with the continental congress.  His  signature was the largest of all who signed it, therefore it is the most recognized.

Mark your calendar for this Saturday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 4, 2017. You can relive that historical moment in historic Washington State Park Arkansas at the 1874 Courthouse Visitor Center.

Visitors will have the opportunity to hear the Declaration of Independence real aloud. After the reading you can sign a replica copy of the Declaration to take home with you. This would make a great item for framing if you ask me or share it on social media.
