Sonic Drive Inn on New Boston Rd at Robison Rd Closes

A lot of folks were flabbergasted to find out the Sonic on New Boston Rd at Robison rd closed the other day, here's what's going on: 

The sign says clearly that they have closed this location permanently and to please visit one of their other locations on Summerhill Road or in Wake Village.

After checking into it further, we found out that the location officially closed on February 28. Management explained that the lease on the property would be finished at the end of March, but the biggest contributor to the closure was the drastic reduction in the workforce at Harte Hanks right next door, which lead to a drastic reduction in revenue at the Sonic. Those two things were the biggest contributing factors in the decision to close that location.

The Sonic Drive-In on New Boston Road had been open since 1991.
