Stoney LaRue in Concert at Scottie’s Grill Aug. 17

Texarkana get ready for Stoney LaRue in concert this Friday, August 17, on the patio at Scottie's Grill, 7:30PM.

Larue a native Texan who grew up most of his life in Oklahoma has always been inspired by the red dirt country sound. Ever since his early days of jamming with other red dirt artist like Cody Canada, and Jason Boland, Larue carved out his own career path in the red dirt country scene. In 2002 Stoney Larue and his Organic Boogie Band released the album Downtown and in his follow up album The Red Dirt Album was released in 2005. LaRue then recorded his first live album, Live at Billy Bob's Texas which was released in 2006, according to Wikipedia.

So far there's no slowing down LaRue who plays around 200 shows a year and has sold over a million records.

Us TIme his current album is a collection of songs from the native Texan who now resides in Oklahoma reflecting on his own dreams that openly shares with his longtime fans. One of the songs included in the collection is, "Into The Mystic."

Opening act is Red Dirt artist Austin Meade.
