
Game Changer: Dierks High School Scores Big With T-Mobile $1M Prize
After 8 million votes nationwide, Dierks High School, an Arkansas school, won the massive $1 million grand prize in T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights contest.
This Small Town Upset Shocks the Nation!
Dierks High School was up against 2,100 schools nationwide for the top prize to upgrade and enhance their Outlaws football athletic facilities. The small Southwest Arkansas town's pride is its football team, where pride runs deep in the community every Friday night during football season.
According to the Magnolia Reporter, Dierks joins 2024 winner Inola, OK, as proof that determination and hard work can catapult the biggest underdog to victory.
This is not only a victory for the football team but a victory for the fans in the community who have been supportive of the football program for years. Head Coach Paul Ernest was in attendance when the announcement was made this morning shortly after 8 AM.

Dierks High School Getting $1 Million Football Upgrade
This $1 million T-Mobile prize enables the school to receive a home field upgrade, a Gronk Fitness weight room, a 2026 tailgate, and, to top it off, a trip to the SEC Championship.

Dierks High School received support from all over the state, including Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former Arkansas and NFL running back Darren McFadden, comedians Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Foxworthy, NASCAR racer Austin Dillon, former NFL player and University of Arkansas quarterback Matt Jones, and many others.
The community is invited to join T-Mobile and Dierks High School for a special celebration on Friday, November 14. Dierks, Arkansas, is approximately 58 miles from Texarkana, with a population of just under 900 people.
