Texarkana, Ark., will be presented their certification of the Prospect Readiness Education Program (PREP) this Thursday, October 13.

This is the recognition to achieve the special recognition certifying their resources and abilities to meet economic development opportunities. The presentation will take place at the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, 819 N State Line Avenue, at 4:45PM following their Economic Development Council meeting.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s (AEDC) Community Development Division announced a couple months ago that Texarkana, Ark., has successfully completed the requirements for Arkansas’ Prospect Readiness Education Program.

Texarkana is the state’s 19th city to complete the program. An additional seven cities are working toward completion. “It is exciting to bring together community leaders and the Arkansas Economic Development team to work on the Project Readiness Educational Program,” said Mike Malone, president of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.

“It provided a learning experience for everyone about the Texarkana community, its many assets, and the opportunities companies can find here. Our excitement continues as we grow economic opportunities.”
