Texarkana-Area Artists Paid Up To $4000 To Display Their Art
Calling all Texarkana-area and regional artists, you could earn up to $4000 for creating and displaying your art around Texarkana.
The hardest part about being a "Starving Artist" is that whole "starving" thing. It sure is nice to get paid to do what you love to do occasionally, well, here's an opportunity for you.
Texarkana Arts and Historic District is now taking submissions from local and regional artists for display design ideas that could pay up to $4000 per piece.
The district committee is embarking on an initiative aimed at enriching the community's experience through artistic endeavors, as part of its ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant cityscape and promoting intercultural exchange.
Eligible projects encompass a wide range of artistic expressions, including but not limited to iron or wood sculptures, interactive art installations, landscape architecture, community art projects, and murals.
To apply, interested artists must submit a comprehensive proposal by May 1, 2024, which should include the following:
- Contact information
- Detailed rendering or concept design of the proposed project
- Resume highlighting past artistic works and experiences
- A cover letter outlining the artistic vision and objectives of the proposed project
Submissions are due by May 1, and selected applicants will be notified soon after. This initiative not only provides artists with a platform to showcase their talents but also contributes to the cultural enrichment of our city.
