
Texarkana, Texas City Hall Building Marks 100 Years of Civic Service
The City of Texarkana, Texas will celebrate a century of civic pride as its historic City Hall building turns 100 years old. A community celebration is planned for Monday, November 10, at 5 PM, featuring light refreshments, historic displays, and recognition of past city leaders.
A Century of Civic Leadership
Built between 1924 and 1925 during a time of growth and progress, City Hall has served as the cornerstone of local government for generations. The building was designed by C. H. Page & Bro. of Austin in partnership with the local firm Witt, Seibert & Halsey, combining architectural elegance with civic purpose.

Honoring Texarkana’s Legacy
“This building has been the backdrop for countless important decisions, celebrations, and moments in Texarkana’s history,” said Mayor Bruggeman. “We are proud to still be serving our community from the same structure that city leaders did 100 years ago.”

Preserving History for the Future
Leading up to the centennial, a dedicated committee oversaw a series of improvements to the building, including professional floor restoration, an exterior soft wash, new windows, and HVAC system upgrades, ensuring the landmark remains both functional and beautiful for years to come.
