Texarkana Arkansas Police Invite Residents to Connect During National Night Out

It's hard to believe that it is almost that time again for National Night Out in Texarkana. The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is getting ready for National Night Out in October and so should you!

National Night Out is all about building stronger relationships with neighbors and between law enforcement and the community. This event gives residents a chance to meet the officers who serve their neighborhoods, ask questions, share concerns, and simply spend time getting to know one another.

More Than Officers, Neighbors

TAPD posted on its Facebook page that one of the most important messages it wants to convey to residents in the Texarkana area is that officers are neighbors, too.

The department is encouraging neighborhoods to start getting ideas for a block party so officers, city officials, and firemen can stop by, say hello, and talk about the things that matter most to them. Whether it’s sharing what you love about your neighborhood, discussing concerns, or offering ideas to help make the community even better, officers want to hear from you.

Building Stronger Connections

National Night Out will take place on both sides of the state line, so Texarkana Texas Police officers are looking forward to this event too! It is ultimately designed to strengthen the partnership between residents and law enforcement while creating safer, more connected neighborhoods.

Residents will have the opportunity to:

Get to know their officers
Share concerns and ask questions
Learn more about community safety efforts
Help build a stronger community by getting to know their neighbors

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department hopes these conversations will continue long after National Night Out is over.
