So, last weekend was July 4th weekend, America's 250th birthday, and it was a busy one. For me, it started on July 3rd as I got the chance to host the fireworks show and do a remote broadcast with our friends in Hochatown, Oklahoma, at Choctaw Landing Resort and Casino.

It was my first time to actually stay at the resort, and let me tell you, those rooms are really, really nice. Always fun in the casino part, the food is pretty great, and the fireworks show was terrific.

The Weekend Was Just Starting

Saturday night was July 4th, the big party night for most, and there was so much going on around the Ark-La-Tex. I just couldn't make up my mind, so I stayed home. Sunday night, though, something was happening in Texarkana that I really wanted to check out; our very first drone show was scheduled for Sunday evening at Big Dam Water Park.

So, my buddy Mario, who lives fairly close to there, and I decided we would try to park close by and walk up to check out the show. And that's what we did.

Our Big Dam Drone Experience

Standing near the Big Dam gate, we watched the 12-minute show come together over the water park, and I have to admit, it was pretty impressive. In celebration of America's 250th birthday, there were reportedly 250 drones filling a portion of the sky with intricate, interesting, fun, and patriotic designs.

Not a bad showing at all for their first time out at Big Dam Water Park. Congratulations to all on the planning and execution of the event.

Below are a few pictures of what it looked like from my Big Dam perspective.
