Arkansas National Guard Flyover Planned for Texarkana

Get ready for some patriotic flyover fun Texarkana; we are all invited to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a special flyover event by the Arkansas National Guard.

Monday, June 29th

The flyover is scheduled to take place during midday, between 12 and 1 PM on Monday, June 29, traveling from South Stateline Avenue to North Stateline Avenue through Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas.

What Can You Do To Celebrate?

You, yes you, are encouraged to bring American flags and gather along the flight path to watch the aircraft pass overhead. Those wishing to participate can enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants along Stateline Avenue or set up lawn chairs in a safe viewing location.

This Arkansas National Guard event is part of local celebrations commemorating the nation's 250th birthday all over the state and offers an opportunity for families, friends, and visitors to come together in recognition of this historic milestone.

City officials encourage residents to join the celebration and show their patriotic spirit as the Arkansas National Guard helps mark this significant moment in American history.

Tunnel 2 Towers Steel Across America - Texarkana Stop - June 3, 2026

On the 25th anniversary year of 9/11, this steel beam from the Twin Towers in New York that fell on September 11, 2001, is a must-see. The ceremony was very well done and featured short speeches from both Texarkana Mayors and Fire Chiefs. I know many in attendance weren't even alive when the attack happened 25 years ago, but for those of us who remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when the planes struck the towers, it was an amazing thing to see and touch.
