This free event will take place at the Texarkana Library, located at 600 West 3rd Street in Texarkana, Texas. It is all about celebrating the start of the library’s summer reading program with this year’s theme, “Unearth the Story.”

Kids will have fun with karaoke, games, prizes, special vehicle appearances, vendors, and more during the family-friendly event. There will be activities for all ages throughout the day.

Free Snow Cones for First 140 Kids Saturday at Texarkana Public Library

The first 140 children who sign up for the library’s free summer reading program will also receive a free snow cone during the event.

The summer reading program encourages children and adults to keep reading during the summer months while earning prizes and participating in library activities.

New Library Upgrades to Be Unveiled

The event will also showcase several new upgrades at the library, including the grand opening of new study pods and the library’s new esports/computer room. You will also be able to check out upgraded patron computers during the celebration.

The event is designed to help families explore everything the Texarkana Library has to offer while creating fun summer memories together.
