Texarkana Literacy Council Fun ‘Youth & Adult Spelling Bee’ is July 23
Join the fun this Saturday, July 23 at the Literacy Council's Annual Spelling Bee at Texarkana College in the Truman Arnold Building. This is the organization's signature fundraising event.
The Spelling Bee will have different divisions for both adults and children. There will also be a silent auction.
How Much Are Tickets to The Spelling Bee?
There is an option to buy tickets for general admission for $10. These tickets include access to all of the youth and adult contests, as well as the silent auction. Another option is a general admission ticket that includes dinner catered by Texas Roadhouse for $25.
What Are The Spelling Bee Age Group Categories?
The Spelling Bee will have teams of three in three age categories. These categories are Youth Ages 3rd through 6th grades, Youth in 7th through 10th grades (11th and 12th grades will be in the Adult Category. You can register online to be in the Spelling Bee or to buy general admission tickets at literacytxk.org/spelling-bee.
The Kids Spelling Bee starts at 4 PM. Dinner is served at 5:30 PM and then the Adults Spelling Bee starts at 8 PM.
