The Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department will be taking part in coordinated search operations on Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4 for two missing men, Jonathan Bohrer and Johnny Hamilton.

While both men are from Louisiana, investigators say there is currently no evidence connecting the two cases.

Multiple Agencies Joining the Search in Texarkana

The large-scale search effort will include the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, the Morgan Nick Foundation, the Miller County Office of Emergency Management, and numerous trained volunteers.

Search teams will focus on expanding coverage areas, following up on investigative leads, and continuing efforts to bring both men home safely.

The Morgan Nick Foundation will also be deploying search dogs during the operation. Residents in the search areas are asked to keep their own dogs secured to avoid interfering with the search teams and K-9 units working in the field.

Search Areas and Road Closures

Teams will be searching in and around the areas where the vehicles belonging to Bohrer and Hamilton were found. Search zones may expand as needed throughout the operation.

Community members should expect to see increased activity in these areas and are encouraged to report any information that could help investigators.

To ensure the safety of search teams and the public, Roberts Street at the entrance to Poindexter Park will be closed during the search. Barricades will be placed at both entrances to the park, and public access to the area will be restricted.

Public Asked to Support the Effort

At this time, officials are not requesting additional volunteers. Those participating in the search have received specialized training for this type of operation.

TAPD expressed appreciation for the partner agencies, organizations, and volunteers who are dedicating their time and resources to assist with the ongoing search efforts.
