Texarkana Police Need Help in Locating Man in Fatal Shooting

Texarkana Texas Police are looking for a Texarkana man who allegedly shot a woman yesterday, Wednesday, September 13.

Police received a call about a shooting in the 3800 block of Alexander Avenue just past 5 PM. Police found out there had been a disturbance inside the house and it resulted in a woman named Mercedes Young. She was transported in an ambulance to a local hospital.

Sadly Mercedes later died from her injuries.

Texarkana Texas Police reported the tragic news on their Facebook page and now police and detectives have a warrant for murder out for Rodney Lindley, 40, of Texarkana Texas. He fled the scene before officers arrived to the area and they need your help in locating him. Police say this is the first homicide in Texarkana Texas this year.
