Local restaurant 'Mother Kelly's Home Cooking' will be closed temporarily due to COIVD-19 Coronavirus.

Here is what Shelia from Mother Kelly's had to say about her recent diagnosis on their Facebook page.

Attention customers: I'm asking for prayer. I have been diagnosed with covid and I will not open back up until January 5th. I am doing better and I have a few more days to be in QUARANTINE. Y'all please take care of yourselves. This stuff is no joke. Have a blessed, safe, and Happy New Year. ❤

Mother Kelly's Home Cooking restaurant has just recently moved from her Texas Boulevard location to the Texarkana Arkansas side of Stateline in the old Meyo Myo restaurant location.

Mother Kelly's serves great down home-cooked meals for the Texarkana area. Here is a little background on the restaurant's owner.
Mother Kelley’s is owned and operated by Shelia Sutton the grand-daughter of Gertrude Kelley. “Mother,“ as we so fondly called her was a wonderful cook! Some of our most cherished memories are of family dinners at her house. She taught all her girls to cook and they, in turn, taught their daughters.

We hope Shelia makes a speedy recovery so we can all enjoy her great food.
