Texarkana Restaurant Roulette, Which Will Re-Open With New Management?
Round and round she goes, where she stops, nobody knows. Texarkana's Restaurant Roulette has been a little hard to keep up with the last year or so. Too many have closed their doors for good, but some have bounced back, I believe we're about to see another one do just that.
Remember when this happened last year? Meomyo's Bayou Cafe closed its doors a year ago due to a lack of business and suddenly they announced that, due to customer demand, they would re-open... and they did. To my knowledge, they're still open, and we hope, doing well. [Update: I just found out they are closed again, sorry to hear that.]
Here We Go Again:
Remember a couple of weeks ago when we told you that another Chinese restaurant was going to close here in town? Some of us have been very concerned that we are running out of Chinese restaurants to try, and then here goes another one! Lee's China announced they would close their doors after 40 years in town and retire. It was another devastating blow to lovers of Chinese cuisine.
Guess What?
What was formerly Lees' China on Mall Dr. is apparently going to become Lee's China once again, "under new management."
There is a hand-written sign posted now on the window of Lee's former location that states:
We're re-opening Lee's China with new management.
5/25/23
Thank You
Reports are saying that the new owner was a long-time cook at the same restaurant. We wish the new owner much success.
So Texarkana, looks like we're not running out of options as fast as we once thought.
