Texarkana’s New Emergency Alert System: Stay Safe During Severe Weather
'Tis the season for severe storms and tornadoes. In today's world, it is easy to keep up with the news and weather on our phones, but in the case of a weather emergency, it is nice to have that information and alerts right at our fingertips.
When there is a local emergency about weather or other emergencies that city officials want us to be aware of we used to get the Red Code alert on our phones.
Texarkana Texas Police announced on their Facebook page, they have upgraded to a new alert system to inform us in case of a local emergency. If you signed up for the 'CodeRed' alerts a few years back, they are replacing it with a new alert system. They could not transfer our information to the new system so you will need to sign up again.

This system and app is called Hyper-Reach Anywhere. Just follow these links to get on the list for alerts and sign up. You add family members' phone numbers who live with you too. Once you have signed up for the alerts, you will get a prompt to download the app, and it's free!
