Texas A&M Texarkana has been busy lately making it easier for people in our area to work on their degree while still working full time.

Last month we heard about the academic partnership between Texas A&M Texarkana and TexAmericas Center. Now the university has announced two more great academic partnerships.

Texas A&M Announces Academic Partnership With Texarkana Aluminum

Texas A&M University-Texarkana and TCI Texarkana, Inc. dba Texarkana Aluminum, Inc. are proud to announce their academic partnership. This will give Texarkana Aluminum employees the opportunity to attend classes offered at the university for a discounted rate.

A&M President Dr. Ross Alexander stated that the university will collaborate with the students and Texarkansas Aluminum by making a curriculum in Industrial and Metallurgical Engineering.

Ian Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Texarkana Aluminum said in a press release,

We are looking towards the collaboration with TAMUT to develop the core of graduates that Texarkana Aluminum needs to build an ecosystem in aluminum product manufacturing in the region...We look forward to supporting the development of the program, rolling it out to our employees, and welcoming students for experiential learning.

 

Also Announced Was an Academic Partnership with The City of Texarkana Texas

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
