Texas Artist Deryl Dodd to Perform at ‘Saturday in the Park’ in De Kalb Sept. 29
Saturday in the Park is coming to De Kalb, Texas on Saturday, September, 29, at Texas City Park located at the intersection of Hwy 259 and Hwy 82.
This is going to be festival you do not want to miss! There will be a chili-cookoff with all-you-can-eat chili for purchase, Pumpkin Run 5K, stick horse races, donut, hot dog and pie eating contests, softball tournament, a Gaga pit for kids, homemade ice cream and plenty of food concessions available.
And to top off 'Saturday in the Park' a free concert from Texas country artist Deryl Dodd at 8PM.
Dodd a native Texan from Dallas has been making and writing music since a very young age. After moving to Nashvillle, Tennessee in 1991 he landed a gig as the lead guitarist for Tracy Lawrence and Martina McBride up until 1996 where he finally signed onto a record label to pursue a solo career. Dodd has released five studio albums and a live album, and has charted nine singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, according to Wikipedia.
His current album Long Hard Ride features twenty years of Dodd's best songs including duets with Pat Green, Cody Johnson, Stoney Larue, Cody Jinks, Wade Bowen, Kevin Fowler, and many more.
Drinkin’ ‘Bout You, written and performed by Deryl Dodd is the fourth single from the album, and features Matt Hillyer, of Eleven Hundred Springs. The song placed 48th, for the most streamed song on Spotify during week one of 2018, back in January.
