The state of Texas was recently listed as one of the best states in the country for camping. I'm not surprised, are you? The new study came out that pitted all 50 states against each other and Texas did us all proud.

Why Texas is a Camping (and Glamping!) Paradise

My husband and I (along with our sweet cat Izzy) love to go camping or should I say glamping? It's like camping but with electricity, running water and wine. Plus, it's fun and so very relaxing to kick back and enjoy nature. We camp a lot in Texas at the state parks and at Corps of Engineers parks, too. So, I agree, Texas is a great state for camping!

I was first surprised that Arkansas came in at 28 on the list. But I must admit it is hard to get a campsite in Arkansas. Why? Texas has around 10 to 12 times the acreage that Arkansas has in its state park system. So, you really need to plan way in advance if your going to camp in Arkansas. But it's worth it!
