Texas High Theatre Company Advancing in Competition
The Tiger Theatre Company of Texas High School is now advancing to the 5A Region 2, Area 2 UIL One-Act Play competition.
The theatre company took top awards during the District and Bi-District events for their production of The Axeman’s Requiem.
Awards received during the District 16-5A contest in Sulphur Springs, TX on March 8 included: First Place Overall Rating for Cast Performance; Best Actor - Gabe Lohse; Best Actress – London Edwards; All-Star Cast Honorable Mention – Bree Barnett; Outstanding Technical Award – Madison Sutton.
During the Bi-District UIL One-Act Play competition in Mesquite, TX on March 21, awards earned included: Play Advancing; All-Star Cast – London Edwards; Honorable Mention All-Star Cast – Brennon Cope and Victoria Perez; Honorable Mention All-Star Cast for Ensemble – Technical Crew – Robin Cooper, Nadia Fryer, Katie Dusek, Jonathan Rowland, Madison Sutton; Outstanding Technical Award – Robin Cooper.
The 5A Region 2, Area UIL One-Act Play contest will be held on Saturday, April 1 at Plano West Senior High School in Plano, TX. Performances begin at Noon with Texas High School scheduled for 3PM.

The THS UIL One-Act Play is under the direction of Lisa Newton, Trent Hanna and Amy Kemp. Chuck Zach is UIL Coordinator.
