The Best Chili in Texarkana Chili Cook-Off Feb. 5

It’s that time of the year, chilly weather makes for a great chili eating season. The Sportsplex by Healthcare Express is proud to host the second annual "The Best Chili in Texarkana Chili Cook-Off" on February 5, from Noon to 3 pm.

The event will be held on the campus of The Sportsplex at 5610 Richmond Road. If you think you have the best recipe for the best chili in town, then you're encouraged to enter the competition for $25, but remember space is limited in this cook-off. To reserve your space head on over to this website to purchase a ticket as a competitor and to reserve your spot now. The Best Chili in Texarkana grand prize winner will receive $300 in cash if they are voted as the winner.

“We aim to host at least 20 contestants to serve their prized chili recipes to our judges and taste testers and compete for a $300 grand prize,” said Jordan Creutz of the Sportsplex

Join in on the fun and be a taste tester, come out to enjoy samples of great chili. General admission tickets are on sale now for only $5 per person.

This year’s proceeds will be benefitting the Texas Association of First Responders. For those unable to attend, donations for this cause are also being accepted online at hcesportsplex.com/chili.
