In case you haven't heard, Texarkana's Stephanie Rice who performed on NBC's The Voice this season will be performing in front of her hometown tonight at Scottie's Grill at 8PM.

Rice stopped by the Kicker studios yesterday afternoon for an exclusive interview with me and she seemed very excited and happy to be back. "When I got into town I saw where the Holiday Bowl had my name on their marquee that read, "Welcome Home." It made me feel very welcome, said, Rice. She went on to tell me the love and support she has received from the community has been absolutely beautiful. That's why she felt the need to come back home to say thank you to the many friends, family and fans who have supported her on her musical journey. She is hoping that tonight's show will allow her to share not only her journey but her career as a singer and songwriter, who is living out her dream.

"I hope that I am able to connect with my fans in a personal way, allowing them to get away from whatever might be going on in their lives at the moment." Just have some fun, said Rice.

A new single is forthcoming this summer and it looks to have a pop rock feel to it. If you like artists like Coldplay and Adele, then you're going to love this new song.

Stephanie was gracious enough to perform an original song from her first album Dear Misery with her band Colonial Blue titled, I'm Done." She even show's off her skills playing the harmonica in the song.

Please come out tonight and show your support for Stephanie Rice. If all goes well, Rice told me she wouldn't mind doing a homecoming show on a regular basis. After the show tonight she said she was going to do some skeet shooting tomorrow and planned on eating at Shorty's sometime Saturday morning. She leaves for L.A. on Sunday where she will begin touring all across the country.

I say we're lucky to have her tonight, so let's show her some love. Welcome Home Stephanie!

Tickets available at the door tonight at Scottie's Grill. Doors open at 6:30PM, show begins at 8PM. Opening act is local favorites Taryn and Jase.
