There is roadwork going on in the Texarkana area and you need to know about some areas that may affect your commute.

Road work continues on Interstate 30 in the eastbound and westbound lanes, they have recently repaved some sections of the Interstate. Keep in mind that construction vehicles may leave and enter the roadway from the median as construction continues.

The roadway will still have those awful concrete barriers. The work is going on 30 eastbound towards Litte Rock or westbound to Dallas from just west of Kings Highway in Nash all the way to the Jefferson Road exit in Texarkana, Arkansas. Please make sure to yield to those folks using the very short on-ramps that you will need to deal with if you are getting on or off the interstate.

There is also some road construction happening on State Highway 98.  Anderson lane in the New Boston area is where this construction is going on. This is near the prison in New Boston will require the bridge to only be open in one lane with traffic lights controlling the flow of traffic in this area.

If you travel on State Highway 8 in Cass county the bridgework continues near the lake. The Malden Lake area of Lake Texarkana is the area where the new bridge is being installed so folks in the Douglasville and Maud area need to be aware of possible delays.

In Harrison County the Interstate 20 at Lansing Switch Road underpass. They are working on a new bridge over the interstate. Lansing Switch Road will be closed to through traffic US highway 59 from one mile south of Farm to Market road 1997 to Farm to Market road 1793, they will be installing a safety barrier cable. And will have daily lane closures.

State Highway 43 at the Kansas City Southern Railroad in Karnack. They are widening the bridge over the railroad. All traffic is restricted to one lane with signal lights controlling traffic through the work zone. US Highway 80 from east of Scottsville to Gregg County Line, repairing and resurfacing pavement.

In Marion County US highway 59 from State Highway 49 to two miles north of State Highway 49, repairing and resurfacing the highway.

In Morris County State Highway 49 from Titus County Line to Farm to Market Road 144, they are repairing and resurfacing the highway.

In Panola County,  US highway 79 from State Highway 149 to Rusk County Line, repairing and resurfacing the highway. US Highway 59 ( the North East Loop) from US 59 North to US 79 East, repairing and resurfacing the highway. On and off-ramps at US 59 and North East Loop closed, traffic detoured accordingly.

In Titus County State Highway 49 from Farm to Market road 1735 to Morris County Line, repairing and resurfacing highway. State Highway 49 from Business 271 to Mount Pleasant City Limits, repairing and resurfacing the highway.
