The future of Tony Romo could be played out on an entirely different field.

Ok, we've heard it all when it comes to Tony Romo. From trade deals, to full release, to trade deals once again. The only thing we're sure about is that No. 9 remains a Dallas Cowboy... for now. As the Houston Texas and Denver Broncos work to secure the veteran quarterback, there is another name that its eye on Romo.

Fox Sports.

That's right. The same network that legendary Dallas quarterback and Hall of Famer, Troy Aikman, works for. Fox recently lost color commentator John Lynch as he took a job as the San Francisco 49ers' general manager back in January. According to Forbes, one of the names on the list of replacements is that of Tony Romo.

It's funny to think that many thought Romo would have no options given his age and an influx of hot new QBs like Dak Prescott, but it seems that he has a lot of options on his plate at the moment. Could Romo go from the football field to the field of broadcast? Only time will tell.
