Total Eclipse of the Park + Other Texarkana Parks for Viewing
The countdown is underway in Texarkana for one of the biggest historic events in U.S. history the much-anticipated Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8.
Whether you call Texarkana your home or you are visiting for the first time several city parks are prime viewing spots to see the solar eclipse. Let's start with Spring Lake Park one of Texarkana's most popular parks.

The Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department welcomes visitors to Spring Lake Park for those looking for a place to see the eclipse.
According to park officials, several spaces in parking lots and open green spaces in the park will be available for people to set up and view but space is limited.
Park personnel will be up early that morning helping people park and find spaces however the park entrance will close once the park is full.

Spring Lake Park features multiple playgrounds, walking paths, a fitness court, and picnic tables for families to enjoy.
