Visit Carmela’s Mini Santa Land in Longview, Texas

This weekend officially marks the beginning of the holiday season. And if you're looking for something to do other than go shopping I've got the perfect place for you to go for some holiday fun. Saw this on Facebook "Carmela's Mini Santa Land."

Carmela's Mini Santa Land is located at their new location at 6085 U. S. Highway 259 just North of Bar K Ranch Store in Longview, Texas. The whole idea behind this Christmas themed area was started 13 years ago by Carmela Davis, a prominent Longview accountant who wanted to do something special for her community.

Originally held at her home, Carmela's popular Longview attraction moved to its new location this year to expand its lighted displays and almost two million lights, featuring dancing trees, a nativity scene, popular children's characters and a drive-thru lighted tunnel. The new location has plenty of room to expand in the near future and to alleviate the traffic congestion that it was causing in her neighborhood.

So gather the family together this weekend and take the 90-minute drive from Texarkana to see this wonderful display that was featured on ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight.

Carmela's Mini Santa Land is now open 5-11PM Sundays through Thursdays and 5PM until midnight Fridays and Saturdays through the holidays. Admission is FREE but donations are gladly accepted.
