War Eagle Mill has an interesting history dating back to the Civil War when the mill was used to provide timber for the region and as a temporary refuge for soldiers fighting in the war. The mill was destroyed by floods or fire three times since 1832 but has always found a way to rise from the ashes and prevail.
Largest Arts and Crafts Festival in NW Arkansas
War Eagle Creek is the best time to fish for walleye, striped, and white bass because of its spawning season. The fall season is absolutely beautiful at War Eagle Mill with one of Northwest Arkansas' largest arts and craft festivals. The mill is open year-round but hours may vary, stop and enjoy coffee, brunch, or lunch in the cafe. Visitors can purchase home organic products from the gift shop such as flour, cereals, meals, bread mixes, jams, jellies, and homemade preserves.
