Wintery Mix For Most of Arkansas This Weekend From Winter Storm Izzy
Winter Storm Izzy is on its way and there is a good chance that a big portion of Arkansas will see some snow and or snow showers including Texarkana, Hot Springs, Little Rock, Northwest and Northeast Arkansas.
Texarkana Area For Saturday
In the Texarkana area, we have about a 50% chance of rain turning to snow showers in the afternoon. A then slight chance of some snow Saturday night with our temperatures going down to the low 30's.
Ashdown Has a Good Shot at Seeing Snow
The further north you go the better the chance of seeing some snow. Ashdown has a 50% chance right now of seeing some snow.
Hot Springs and Little Rock Even Better!
Hot Springs has an 80% and Little Rock 90% as temperatures will dip down to the upper 20's.
Northern Portions of Arkansas Have The Best Chance of Snow
It's a definite for Northwest Arkansas like Fort Smith and Fayetteville but the snow and snow showers will hit during the day. And the Jonesboro area could see 1 to 3 inches of snow!
But Colder Temperatures Won't be Here for Long
Any way you look at it, it will be a cooler weekend but it won't last long because by next Tuesday we'll be back up to the low to mid 60's. Gee, you wonder why there are a lot of colds going around along with the Covid?
