It's worth the drive from Texarkana to beautiful Northwest Arkansas to view the North Forest Lights at Crystal Bridges.

The North Forest comes alive with light, sound, and sensory effects that will amaze every member of your family. Thanks to 'Moment Factory' a Montreal-based multimedia and entertainment studio for bringing this incredible event to life in the Ozark woods.

Even though this may remind you of a holiday light display it is not to be taken that way, as this is more of a nature walk through the woods enhanced by a symphony of light, music, and sound that is intended for visitors to connect to nature.

For example, a simulated stream surrounded by light and sound brings water back to a dry creek bed. Visitors can communicate with the Whispering Tree to learn about the color of your own voice. Other effects that you can experience are The Hearth, Forest Frequencies, and Crystal Grove, shimmering crystal lights that seem to communicate a glowing language of young saplings.

This natural outdoor setting features various hills and trails that will make you feel like you are a  part of the natural beauty of the wooded area.

North Forest Lights opened back in October and continues until Feb. 16. The tour begins around sunset and lasts approximately one hour or longer depending on your walking pace. While you're there make sure you check out Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

This is a great place for the whole family to visit for a weekend getaway or anytime.
